seed out at ca. 2 x 106 cells/80 cm2; split confluent culture 1:3 to 1:5 once or twice a week using trypsin/EDTA before reaching complete confluency; medium (culture supernatant) should be exchanged at least every second day (even with splitting the cells)

at 37 °C with 5% CO2
