rat (Rattus norvegicus)
Cell type:
Sertoli cells
Origin:
Sertoli cells dissected from normal testis from 17-day-old Wistar rat and immortalized with SV40 large-T antigen; cells were described as displaying morphological and functional features of Sertoli cells (phagocytosis, cisplatin sensitivity, transferrin secretion)

frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
DSMZ Scientific Data:
Mycoplasma:
initial contamination was eliminated with Baytril (enrofloxacin), then negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization and continuously in PCR assays
Species validation:
Species-level identification was carried out by mitochondrial Cytochrome C Oxidase Subunit 1 (COI) DNA barcoding according standard ANSI/ATCC ASN-0003-2015 and revealed Rattus norvegicus species.
