seed out at ca. 1 x 106 cells/ml; after thawing, we recommend to use initially 24-well-plates and 20% FBS; cell viability may be as low as 50% after thawing and cells may do not grow during the first week, then recover slowly; in this first week do not dilute, only exchange spent medium; when growing is resumed, split saturated culture 1:2 to 1:3 every 2-3 days
