established in 2010 from the tumor tissue biopsy of a 47-year-old woman with breast ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS); cells were immortalized by stable transformation with human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT); the ETCC-007 cell line is one of a series of five immortalized colonies from the same tumor sample (ETCC-006 (DSMZ ACC 790), ETCC-007, ETCC-008, ETCC-010, ETCC-011);

The cell line ETCC-007 was established by stable lipofectamin transformation of breast carcinoma cells with the pGRN145 plasmid coding for the catalytic subunit of the human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) and for hygromycin resistence. Donor cells, vector und recipient cells match risik group 1
