REP (renal Epo-producing) cells from the kidney of adult transgenic female mice (B6D2;C57BL6N-Tg(EPO::Cre)1RHW x
B6.Cg-Gt(ROSA)26Sor/J), immortalized with SV-40 large-T antigen. Cells are described to produce Epo under hypoxia (but no expression under normoxic conditions). Resistant to puromycin up to 0.5 µg/ml.

split 1:5 to 1:10 every 3-4 days using trypsin/EDTA
