Although the depositor has confirmed the identity of this strain there appear to be discrepancies between the 16S rRNA gene sequence deposited for this strain (Y15011) and that determined in the DSMZ which indicates that it is identical to Y15012, the 16S rRNA gene sequence deposited for DSM 12329, the type strain of Rhodovulum robiginosum. (Medium 929, 25°C, anaerobic)
