Subculture:
split saturated culture 1:2 every 2-3 days; seed out at ca. 0.5 x 106 cells/ml; maintain at ca. 0.5-1.0 x 106 cells/ml; cells are very difficult to culture, mIL-3 supports growth of the cells, cells grow best in 12- or 24-well-plates; after thawing, for the first 7-10 days there is virtually no cell growth or cells grow very slowly, viability may be initially very low, not exceeding 80-85%
