round and polymorphic cells growing in suspension with the formation of large clusters; clusters may be difficult to disperse

80% RPMI 1640 + 20% h.i. FBS
Subculture:
seed out at ca. 1 x 106 cells/25 cm2 flask;
split culture 1:2 once or twice a week (trypsin/EDTA is not necessary)
Incubation:
at 37 °C with 5% CO2
Doubling time:
ca. 4-5 days
Harvest:
cell harvest of 10-13 x 106 cells/175 cm2 flask
Storage:
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
