COR-L23R
ACC 883
Cell line:
COR-L23R
DSMZ no.:
ACC 883
Species:
human (Homo sapiens)
Cell type:
large cell lung carcinoma
Origin:
multidrug-resistant subclone of COR-L23 (DSMZ ACC 882), which was established in 1985 from a pleural effusion of a 62-year-old male with a giant cell anaplastic carcinoma of the lung; COR-L23R was developed by pulsing the parental cell line with 0.02 µg/ml doxorubicin (adriamycin); cells are described to form tumors in nude mice and to express MRP
Biosafety level:
1
Permissions and restrictions:
Depositor-specific restrictions:
Transfer to third parties needs to be negotiated with the depositor.
DSMZ Cell Culture Data:
Morphology:
Medium:
90% RPMI 1640 + 10% h.i. FBS + 0.02 µg/ml Doxorubicin
Subculture:
seed out at about 1-2 x 106 cells in a 80 cm2 flask; split confluent cultures 1:3 - 1:5 every 2-3 days using trypsin/EDTA; after thawing omit doxorubicin, but add the drug with first passaging
Incubation:
at 37 °C with 5% CO2
Doubling time:
ca. 35-40 hours
Harvest:
cell harvest of ca. 15 x 106 cells/80 cm2 flask
Storage:
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO
DSMZ Scientific Data:
Mycoplasma:
negative in PCR assay
Immunology:

Authenticity:
STR analysis according to the global standard ANSI/ATCC ASN-0002.1-2021 (2021) resulted in an authentic STR profile of the reference STR database.
Molec. Genetics:
expression of ABCC1 (encoding MRP) was confirmed by qPCR
